Do Buy a Computer Capable of Using Mac OS X, but Other Than Apple?

Is it advisable to buy a Mac or another computer that uses the MAC OS? This is something which was discussed at a luxury condominuim expo, where many Condos were on display, part of Luxury Los Angles Condo projects.
 
Real estate and luxury home condo project use computers, and the real estate and luxury Las Vegas expos need good OSes.
